These Terms govern your use of www.HikariPress.com and any order placed with Hikari Press™ (“we”, “us”). By using our Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
Hikari Press™ is based in Algeria.

2. Our products
We sell personalized storybooks. Our catalog changes over time (we may add or remove titles). Product details shown on each product page (price, description, options) apply at the time you place the order.
Formats / general info:
- Standard size: 21cm × 21cm
- Page count depends on title (commonly around 20 or 30 pages plus covers and additional pages)
- Languages: Arabic, French, English (more may be added)
3. Made-to-order + confirmation call (required)
All personalized books are made-to-order and created only after we confirm your order by phone. We call the phone number used in the order. If confirmation fails or you are unreachable, we may cancel the order. We may blacklist accounts/numbers that repeatedly cause failed deliveries or abuse the service.
4. What you must provide (and your responsibility)
You agree that:
- The information you provide is accurate (child name, language, age range, delivery details, etc.).
- You have full permission to upload the child’s photo and request its use for personalization.
- You understand that personalization depends on the information you submit and confirm.
5. Editing your order
You can edit order details:
- During the confirmation phone call, or
- By contacting support before the creation phase starts.
If creation has already started, changes may not be possible.
6. Prices & delivery fees
Product prices are shown on the Website and may change over time.
Delivery fees depend on Wilaya/Commune and are paid by the customer.
Any promotions/discounts apply only during the stated period and conditions.
7. Payment methods
We offer Cash on Delivery (COD) in Algeria.
Deposit (“versement”) rule:
For orders of 3 books or more, we may require an advance deposit before starting creation:
- Standard deposit: 2000 DZD (or more depending on the order; we reserve the right to set the amount)
- Status may show as “Versement en attente”
- Deposit is requested during the confirmation call and must be paid before production begins.
Deposit policy:
- If you cancel before production starts, we will refund the deposit (transfer fees may apply depending on method).
- If production has started, the deposit becomes non-refundable because the product is customized and made specifically for you.
8. Cancellations
You can cancel:
- Before the creation phase starts (recommended to do immediately by contacting support)
- Once creation starts, cancellation may be refused due to customization work already performed.
9. Shipping & delivery
We ship using carriers such as: Yalidine El Djazair Service SPA, Guepex, EMS Champion Post Algeria.
Coverage:
- Algeria (domicile / stopdesk / express options)
- International: up to 174 countries via EMS (availability may vary)
Delivery times:
- Algeria: typically 2–3 days (may vary by region and carrier)
- International: timing depends on EMS and destination; we cannot guarantee an exact timeframe
10. Tracking
You may receive a tracking link by SMS and can also track via: www.HikariPress.com/tracking (using Order ID or tracking code)
11. Delivery inspection rule (very important)
For shipping safety:
- If your parcel arrives damaged, you must refuse the parcel with the carrier.
- If you accept the parcel, it means you confirmed it arrived in good condition, and we may not be able to remake/refund for shipping damage—because you have the right to inspect before acceptance.
12. Delays
If a shipment is delayed more than 5 days, contact us through our support channels. In confirmed cases, we may remake and reship a replacement copy.
13. Returns & defects (summary)
We do not accept returns for “change of mind” because our products are personalized and made-to-order. We handle issues (defects/non-conformity) according to our Return & Refund Policy and aligned with consumer protections in Algerian e-commerce.
14. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Abuse the Website, attempt fraud, place fake orders, or harass support
- Scrape or copy content unlawfully
- Interfere with security, stability, or the ordering flow
We monitor suspicious activity and may restrict or ban users.
15. Intellectual property
Our brand, designs, text, style, and product concept are protected. The physical book is delivered to you as a unique product. The design/text/style remain owned by Hikari Press unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
16. Legal disputes & governing law
We always prefer solving problems through friendly support first. If needed, disputes are handled under the laws of Algeria and local courts.
17. Language
This is the English version of our Terms. If other translations exist, the English version prevails in case of conflict.
